The Radial Main AOG is a highly versatile all-rounder. The sail is flatter in the lower section than the UP and GZ horizontal-cut models, but the type of cut has enabled us to increase the power in the upper area. The leech profile has been "closed" a bit to compensate for the flatter entry and regain the optimal exit angle. As with all the radial designs, this sail is more sensitive to trimming and small modifications generate bigger changes than with the horizontal cut. Helmsmen therefore need to be experienced and have a sensitive touch in order to get the best performance out of this sail. The overall shape is more stable and the sail longer-lasting. It requires more work and attention with the sheet, cunningham and outhaul to achieve the best shape for the various and changing conditions. The gold medal won at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games confirmed that our designers have got it right. The results for the start of the 2006 season are also excellent: the French girls Petit-Jean/Doroux won in Miami. Sail Numbers, Class Royalty, Sail-bag and Battens are included.
